Yiduo Liu
Yiduo Liu is an independent fashion designer who graduated from the Parsons School of Design, and now learning Creative Communication at HKU.
Her design language is easy to identify, and she created a series of collections about sustainable textile design. Based on her Chinese cultural background, her design style show her cultural identity with dedicated colorful fabrics.
Yiduo Liu uses some original and environmentally friendly materials, such as biodegradable plastics and waste fishing nets collected from the ocean to create collections. At the same time, rich colors are also one of the significant characteristics of her works. She is good at using yarn stacking and believes that stacked yarns symbolize the balance of ink and yin and yang in Chinese culture. Bright colors and dancing shapes are significant features of her works.
